Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Olhinho handles the personal data of your family and your child, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 – LGPD). In short: the data stays only on your device, we don't sell anything, we don't show ads and we don't track anyone.

1. Who is responsible for the data

The data controller is Jhonata Tenorio, the developer responsible for Olhinho, who also acts as the data protection officer.

2. Where the data is kept

Olhinho has no sign-up, no login and no servers. All information is stored only on your device, encrypted, and is not sent to us or to third parties.

That's why we have no access to the data you record in the app.

3. What data the app handles

Child data: name, age and chosen avatar.
Health data: the prescription you enter (hours per day, covered eye, days of the week, use of glasses), patch wear time, appointment date, doctor's name (optional) and diary notes and photos.
App usage data: preferences, reminders, rewards and Kid Mode high scores.
Your name, if you provide it, to personalize greetings.

The app does not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers or browsing data.

4. What the data is used for

Organizing the patching routine and showing the day's progress.
Sending the reminders you set up, as notifications from the device itself.
Motivating the child with rewards and Kid Mode.
Building the history and the PDF report to take to the appointment.

The data is never used for advertising, behavioral profiling or sale.

5. Legal basis and children's data

Health data is sensitive personal data (art. 5, II, LGPD). Therefore, it is only processed with your specific and highlighted consent, given as the child's legal guardian (art. 11, I, and art. 14, §1, LGPD).

All processing of the child's data is done in the child's best interest (art. 14, LGPD), with the minimum data necessary. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Profile.

6. Sharing

We don't sell, rent or transfer data. It only leaves the device when you choose to:

When you share or save the PDF report, for example to send it to the doctor.
When you export your data to keep a backup or move it to another device.

The Premium subscription is billed by Google Play or the App Store, under their privacy policies. The app only receives from the store the information that the subscription is active; we never have access to card or payment data.

We may also provide data if there is a legal obligation or court order, which in practice is limited to what is on your device.

7. Device permissions

Notifications: for patch reminders. You can deny or turn them off whenever you want.
Photos: only when you choose to attach a photo to the diary. The app does not use the camera or read other photos.
Internet: only to check and purchase the subscription in the app store.

8. Security

The data is stored encrypted on the device, and the key is kept in the system's secure vault (Android Keystore or iOS Keychain).

The export file is not encrypted, because it needs to be readable by you and to restore the backup. Keep it in a safe place and only send it to people you trust.

9. How long the data is kept

The data stays on the device while you use the app. You can delete everything at any time in Profile, with the option to delete all data. Uninstalling the app also deletes the data from the device.

10. Your rights

As the data subject and legal guardian, you can, at any time (art. 18, LGPD):

Confirm whether we process data and access the data.
Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
Request the deletion of the data.
Receive a copy of the data (portability), with the export option in Profile.
Know who the data has been shared with.
Withdraw your consent.
File a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Almost everything can be done directly in the app, in Profile. For anything else, write to nossos.olhinhos@gmail.com. We reply within 15 days.

11. Security incidents

If a security incident occurs that may pose a risk to you or the child, you and the ANPD will be notified (art. 48, LGPD).

12. Changes and contact

If this Policy changes in a relevant way, we will show the new version in the app and ask for a new acceptance before you continue.
